On 1 November 2024, the Faculty of Science and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), through the Information Technology Program, delivered a suite of student-developed digital innovations to multiple local community enterprises, under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Nitiporn Vonnasopon and Lecturer Klinsukon Nimkanjana. These included: Multimedia Public Relations Content for Ban Kasom Sago Products, serving as an open learning tool for studying local wisdom and value-added product development; Multimedia Production for Promoting Cold-Pressed Coconut Oil in Khao Khao Community, transforming traditional knowledge into a digital, searchable knowledge source; Promotional Multimedia Video for Plastic Broom Products, used as community-learning material to demonstrate recycled production and sustainability practices; and a Public Relations Mobile Application for Master Clay Children’s Art Center, providing a digital platform for creative, self-directed learning in arts and crafts. These projects represent an applied research model that connects university innovation with community empowerment, transforming classroom learning into publicly accessible educational resources.
Impact Result :
The initiative transformed student research and innovation into open-access digital learning tools, making knowledge resources available to diverse learners and community enterprises. By integrating academic creativity with real-world community needs, the project enhanced digital literacy, supported self-learning beyond the classroom, and strengthened community-based education networks. The innovations developed continue to serve as sustainable public learning resources, promoting inclusive, lifelong learning opportunities and extending the social impact of university research—demonstrating RUTS’s commitment to accessible, equitable, and innovation-driven education in alignment with SDG 4.
