Details: The Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS) promotes student representation to manage operational benefits and student welfare at two levels: the University Student Organization Committee and the Faculty/College Student Club Committee.
- University Student Organization Committee
This committee represents students at the university level and is responsible for efficient student management and organizing activities. Committee members are elected annually through a democratic process that includes candidate registration, voting by eligible students, and election result announcements. In the 2024 academic year, 30 students were elected and appointed to the University Student Organization Committee, including:- Mr. Suphanat Jantawadeethip as President of the Student Organization
- Mr. Banyat Norapha as Vice President 1 of the Student Organization
- Mr. Kasitanat Rueangkaew as Vice President 2 of the Student Organization.
- Faculty/College Student Club Committee
This committee represents students at the faculty/college level and is responsible for electing a president and committee members to safeguard students’ rights and welfare within each faculty/college. In 2024, RUTS established 15 Faculty/College Student Club Committees, with each committee responsible for planning and implementing student activities.
Powers and Duties of the University Student Organization Committee
- Review and plan the operations of the Student Organization in alignment with the objectives outlined in the Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya’s Student Activities Regulation of 2022.
- Develop an annual operational plan, including activities, projects, and budget allocation, that aligns with the university’s student development plan and the Student Council’s policies. This plan must be submitted to the Student Council for approval and reported to the university’s Student Activity Management Committee.
- Manage and conduct student activities in accordance with the university’s regulations or any guidelines established by the Student Council.
- Oversee and implement student activities that benefit students as per the plan approved by the Student Council.
- Approve the establishment of clubs affiliated with the Student Organization and report this approval to the university’s Student Activity Management Committee within 30 days.
- Submit individual nominations of Student Organization Committee members, excluding the President of the Student Club, for removal consideration to the university President, with approval from no less than half of the Committee members.

“Student Government Meeting”
On July 10, 2024, Asst. Prof. Piya Prasongchan, Vice President, attended the 1st Ordinary Meeting of the Student Organization of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS) for 2024, at the Srivijaya Conference Room, RUTS.
Key agenda items of the meeting included:
The performance review of the Student Organization and Student Club Executive Committee Seminar Project for Academic Year 2024, and Preparations for the upcoming RUTS Star Contest, scheduled to be held in August 2024 in conjunction with the 15th RUTS Intramural Sports Competition “Samphao Games” at RUTS Songkhla Campus.
The Student Development Division organized the Annual Seminar for the Student Organization Committee and Student Club Committee for the 2024 academic year. The project aimed to enhance students’ teamwork skills, ensure that the operations of the Student Council, Student Organization, and Student Clubs are conducted in compliance with regulations, and encourage student leaders to actively participate in activities according to the National Qualifications Framework.



The Student Organization of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya organized the Student Organization and Student Club Executive Committee Seminar Project for Academic Year 2024 during June 6–8, 2024, at Nanmok Daeng Rafting and Nan Lung Than Homestay, Pa Phayom District, Phatthalung Province.
The objectives of the seminar were to:
Provide student leaders with knowledge of regulations related to student activities, Conduct a SWOT analysis for student activity planning, Apply the PDCA process (Plan–Do–Check–Act) in organizing student development activities, and Promote anti-corruption awareness among student leaders. During the program, Prof. Suwat Thanyarat, Acting President of RUTS, addressed the student leaders via Zoom online platform and assigned Asst. Prof. Piya Prasongchan, Vice President, to preside over the opening ceremony of the project.
