On 12 November 2024, the research team on appropriate technology transfer from Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya delivered manual curved-tray groundnut sorting equipment and a solar-powered groundnut drying cabinet to the Mae Khri Groundnut Farmers Group. This initiative aimed to strengthen the productivity, quality, and value-added processing capacity of local farmers.
The handover ceremony was attended by key local partners, including:
- Khuan Saothong Subdistrict Municipality (represented by the Mayor)
- Tamot District Agricultural Office (represented by the District Agricultural Officer)
This collaboration reflects the university’s commitment to supporting local farmers and food producers through:
- Technology transfer of low-cost, appropriate equipment.
- Enhancing post-harvest handling efficiency.
- Strengthening farmer capacity to increase product quality and market competitiveness.
- Encouraging sustainable agricultural practices and rural economic development.
