Picture 1.1 Show,The emblem “Nora Kinnaree” of Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RMUTSV) is designed to profoundly reflect and link to the local identity of the Southern region of Thailand, which serves as a crucial intellectual foundation for the institution. The symbol’s meaning is derived from a folklore amalgamation of the terms “Nora,” which signifies the traditional folk performance art of the South, and “Kinnaree,” a mythical creature from literature, characterized as a half-celestial being and half-bird, representing grace and sublime beauty. Therefore, the “Nora Kinnaree” emblem metaphorically conveys the harmonious integration of local wisdom with modern knowledge, representing the perfect synthesis of “Art and Science” within the university’s context.

Picture 1.2 Show, The imagery of the Nora Kinnaree is elevated to the status of a spiritual emblem consistent with the beliefs prevalent in the Asian region. This symbol is enshrined across all university premises, serving functionally as a spiritual safeguard (amulet) and a source of blessings to ensure the smooth operation and success of educational and administrative endeavors. This emphasis profoundly reflects a crucial element of Intangible Cultural Heritage that is vital to the institutional identity.Related Links:
