RUTS University enhanced its commitment to low-carbon energy in 2024 by upgrading the campus aquarium building, a popular visitor attraction.

-Improvement: The existing roof was replaced and fitted with an on-grid solar photovoltaic (PV) system (rated at 150 kWp).

-Impact on Building: This upgrade significantly enhanced the electrical system’s efficiency, leading to substantial energy savings and reduced reliance on external electricity sources.

-Environmental Benefit: The system is projected to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 83,000 kg per year, contributing to the agency’s goal of reducing its total carbon footprint.
