Faculty members from Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), led by Dr. Nootchanate Kansamut, implemented the “ToeyPanan Project, Phase 3” from 12–23 July 2024 at the ToeyPanan Weaving Group, Mae Thom Subdistrict, Bang Klam District, Songkhla Province. The project focused on transferring knowledge and practical skills in natural dyeing techniques for ToeyPanan leaves to elderly and unemployed community members. Through this hands-on learning process, participants were encouraged to integrate traditional craftsmanship with innovative design concepts, resulting in improved product diversity, higher quality, and greater market value for locally woven ToeyPanan handicrafts.

Impact Result :
The project empowered elderly and unemployed participants with new vocational skills in natural dyeing and traditional weaving, enabling them to enhance product quality and increase household income. By fostering creativity and hands-on learning, the initiative promoted lifelong learning, strengthened local craftsmanship, and expanded community engagement beyond the university campus—reflecting RUTS’s commitment to inclusive education and sustainable skill development in alignment with SDG 4.
