The Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), organized the project “Training and Development of Innovative Sesame Roll Production to Promote Community Vocational Skills” under Activity Plan 2: Designing Learning Processes and Creating Learning Opportunities for Participants. Funded by the Equitable Education Fund (EEF) through the Community-Based Learning Promotion Program for Fiscal Year 2023, the activity took place from 29–30 June 2024 at Wat Changlon, Kuha Tai Subdistrict, Ratphum District, Songkhla Province, led by Asst. Prof. Kritsada Kongphoon. The project aimed to develop vocational skills among underprivileged and marginalized individuals, enabling participants to gain knowledge and competencies for self-reliance and sustainable livelihood improvement. Practical workshops covered logo and packaging design, local-style online marketing, and hands-on vocational training such as sesame roll production, bakery making, flower arrangement, and men’s haircutting—all designed to enhance income-generating capacity and add value to community products.
Impact Result :
 The project enhanced vocational and entrepreneurial skills among underprivileged and marginalized groups, empowering participants to apply innovative techniques in local product development and small business creation. Through hands-on training and community engagement, the activity improved income opportunities, promoted self-reliance, and fostered lifelong learning beyond the campus—strengthening RUTS’s role as a higher education institution that drives equitable education and sustainable community development in alignment with SDG 4.
