The Urban Planning Program, Faculty of Architecture, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), organized a Training and Orientation Program for new students in the Academic Year 2024 on July 2, 2024. The activity, led by Lecturer Nontharos Pakman, Head of the Program, was designed to equip first-year students with fundamental knowledge and essential concepts in urban planning before beginning their formal studies.

The training program aimed to:

  1. Provide students with basic understanding of urban and regional planning principles prior to their first year of study.
  2. Prepare students through knowledge integration, practical awareness, and academic readiness to succeed in the program.

The session was supported by faculty members and third-year senior students, fostering an atmosphere of mentorship and peer learning. Through lectures, discussions, and interactive learning, students gained an initial understanding of urban systems, spatial development, and sustainable city design, forming a strong foundation for their upcoming coursework and studio practice.
