On 14 July 2024, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya organized the charity event “RUTS Walk and Run 2024: Ruam Kao Kong Rak Rajamangala” to celebrate the 72nd Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the King and to raise funds for student scholarships. The opening ceremony was presided over by Prof. Suwat Thanarat, President of RMUTSV, who paid homage before the royal portrait of His Majesty the King and offered blessings on this special occasion.
Faculty members, staff, and students from the Faculty of Liberal Arts, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Boonrit Omanee, Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts, actively participated in this activity. The funds raised from this event were allocated to support scholarships for students in financial need, helping to reduce economic barriers related to food and daily living costs.
The RUTS Walk and Run 2024 charity event reflects Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya’s commitment to outreach and engagement in student hunger interventions. By raising scholarship funds through a community-based event, the university supported students facing financial hardship, indirectly improving their access to food and other essential resources.
