On May 29, 2023, the Director of the Office of Academic Resources and Information Technology assigned Assistant Professor Authapon Kongwan, Deputy Director of Academic Resources and Information Technology, and Mr. Panuwat Noonkong to attend a seminar aimed at motivating public and private organizations to develop websites in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). The event was organized by the Office of the National Digital Economy and Society Commission (ONDE) to promote digital technology development for people with disabilities and to support digital technology accessibility and usability, thereby reducing inequality and enhancing equal access to information for people with disabilities.
Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya received an award for developing an accessible website, meeting WCAG standards, from among 121 participating organizations, with 50 recognized for outstanding performance. The award was presented by Professor Wisit Wisitsoraat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, at the Centra by Centara Government Complex Hotel & Convention Centre, Chaeng Watthana, Bangkok.
