On December 24, 2024, the Faculty of Liberal Arts at RUTS organized a year-end and New Year celebration to foster a sense of community and well-being among staff members. The event began with a Buddhist merit-making ceremony and almsgiving to monks, symbolizing good fortune and the start of a prosperous new year.
Following the ceremony, administrators, faculty members, and staff shared a communal meal, strengthening interpersonal connections and a sense of belonging within the faculty. Assistant Professor Dr. Boonyarit Omanee, Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts, delivered New Year’s greetings and warm wishes to all participants. His message highlighted the importance of unity, collaboration, and mutual support as key values guiding the faculty into the upcoming year. This initiative also promotes social cohesion, encourages sharing, and helps reduce the risk of food insecurity within the university community. It serves as an example of how social and cultural activities can contribute to sustainable development goals beyond their traditional scope.
