In 2024, RUTS collaborated with University in Malaysia as Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) to focus on how universities can collaborate and review action to build best practice to relate to SDG 1 to 17. For instance, during 30th July -2nd August 2024, the RUTS & UMK Veterinary and Animal Nourishing Camp 2024 was jointly organised by Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS), Thailand, and Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), Malaysia. The program aimed to strengthen academic collaboration and practical learning in veterinary science and animal nutrition while promoting sustainable livestock development in the ASEAN region. Moreover, the program focused particularly on SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). The camp brought together 70 participants including students and lecturers from both universities for a week of academic exchange, cultural immersion, and hands-on learning. Participants engaged in workshops on animal health management, nutritional formulation, and disease prevention, along with community outreach activities supporting local farmers in improving animal care practices. The camp also featured field visits to livestock farms and veterinary research centers, fostering applied learning and cross-cultural understanding. Through this collaboration, participants enhanced their technical competencies, teamwork, and intercultural communication skills. In conclusion, the program successfully promoted knowledge sharing, sustainable animal care awareness, and the development of future veterinary professionals with a regional perspective. The RUTS & UMK Veterinary and Animal Nourishing Camp 2024 stands as a model of international collaboration advancing education, research, and sustainable agricultural practices.
