The Faculty of Agriculture, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya implemented “The Charming Pakpoon Canal: Creative Economy, Reducing Inequality through Upgrading Local Identity Products and Community Tourism” in 2024, led by Dr. Kittichon Utanaphan with National Research Council of Thailand funding. This initiative develops sustainable tourism potential in Pakpoon Canal community, Nakhon Si Thammarat, through integrated land management balancing environmental conservation with economic development. The project promotes sustainable land utilization by integrating mangrove forest restoration, traditional fishing communities, coconut plantations, and aquaculture areas into a cohesive tourism ecosystem. Educational outreach programs provide comprehensive knowledge transfer to community members about sustainable resource utilization and integration strategies that enhance local tourism capacity.
