This innovation, developed by students and faculty in electronic engineering at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, is an automatic solar-powered egg incubation system designed for chicken and duck eggs. It targets the Bo Dan sub district community in Songkhla Province, as part of the U2T initiative, aiming to generate employment and income. The Bo Dan Sub district, inhabited mainly by farmers raising native chicken and duck species, faces challenges with low hatching rates and extended waiting times using natural incubation due to high market demand. This innovation ensures high-quality egg incubation, reducing offspring mortality, and efficiently produces chicken and duck breeds that align with market demands. This project involves the development of a prototype using clean energy as the power source, allowing for the reduction of carbon emissions from the grid electricity production.
