In 2022, the RUTS Aquarium at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS) set a goal to conserve energy in the aquarium building, aligning with the university’s energy policy. Activities aimed at reducing energy consumption are carried out each year. The aquarium invested 5.2 million baht in these efforts.

The building generates electricity from solar energy, producing 273,780 kWh annually. The investment is expected to break even in 6.5 years, contributing to electricity cost savings and carbon reduction as desired.
