Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya has collaborated with Thung Song Municipality in Solar-powered online water quality monitoring under the research project: Solar-Powered Online Water Quality Monitoring for Thung Song Municipality, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. The system uses Internet of Things (IoT) technology to read water quality values from various sensors including water temperature, water turbidity, pH value and oxygen. This is an eco-friendly and sustainable approach to continuously assess and manage water quality in various settings, including lakes, rivers, and wastewater treatment facilities.

Therefore, Solar-powered online water quality monitoring not only helps in environmental protection and management but it is also a sustainable and efficient approach to ensure the safety and quality of water resources.
