On February 2, 2022, students from the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Songkhla, received the first runner-up award in the New Gen Inventors Award 2021 competition during the “Innovators’ Day” event. The competition was held under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation in Thailand and the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China. The students’ innovative project involved a tracking system for guided tourist boats using the LoRa network, with a case study focusing on touring boats. They received a scholarship of 60,000 baht for their outstanding achievement. The project was advised by Asst. Prof. Chaiya Tanaphatsiri, Mr.Krawee Anontree, Asst. Prof. Dr. Bussaracam Thongphet, and the participating students were Miss Sathinee Gamtrai, Mr. Phanupong Soparat, Miss Jantnipa Jantchai.

Additionally, another group of students from the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology received a gold medal for their semi-automatic citrus peeling machine innovation. The project was advised by Asst. Prof. Somporn Kaewwang, Mr. Krawee Anontree, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thanas Nontaput, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Bussaracam Thongphet. The participating students were Miss Nuchasara Khuntong, Mr. Sarayut Pradapchan, Mr. Thanchai Kaewsongmuang.

The Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya is an institution that places great importance on technology and education, producing quality graduates who are well-prepared to promote knowledge and technological skills to further develop themselves in the future.
