The Thung Song Bird Club was created in 2022 by Dr. Prasert Nontakarn, a professor at faculty of Science and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya. The main objectives of the Thung Song Bird Conservation Club are as follows:

  1. To provide knowledge about the birds found in the Thung Song district area.
  2. To promote community involvement in the conservation of important birds, such as those on the IUCN Red List.
  3. To organize bird-watching activities within the Thung Song district area.

Fig1. Pictures of birds in the natural area taken by Dr. Prasert Nonthakarn, along with explanations of their common names and scientific names, to provide knowledge to the members of the Thung Song Bird Club.

The Facebook page of the Bird Thungsong Club boasts a substantial following of over 500 individuals. The group has implemented a strategic plan to facilitate the coordination of bird-watching events targeting both students and guests in 2023.
