Details (English):

Dr. Worasuda Khwansuwan, the head of the project and an instructor in the Department of Fashion and Textile Design, majoring in Architecture and Design at the Faculty of Architecture,  mentioned that this project is an academic service that incorporates theoretical knowledge from product development in coursework with practical knowledge of woven fabric patterns from the Ban Khao Community Handicraft Group. This project encourages participants to register for training. At present, the Ban Khao Community Handicraft Group utilizes these weaving skills to create various products such as jewelry, home decor, and everyday items produced in this project still maintain the original traditional patterns and motifs from the Manora weaving techniques. This project focuses on creating unique and culturally significant art pieces. The project team believes that transferring knowledge about product development, incorporating it with preserving and revitalizing Manora culture and arts, will result in creating interesting and marketable commemorative products.

The benefits of this project to the community are multi-faceted:

  1. Knowledge: The community members gain knowledge about product development, which can be applied and extended to create future livelihoods.
  2. Economic: Participants can create livelihoods and generate income from the training they receive. They can earn money by selling the products they produce.
  3. Social: Participants gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Manora cultural heritage, which is a rich part of Thai culture and global heritage.

This project exemplifies the importance of preserving cultural heritage and integrating it with contemporary product development and entrepreneurship, providing benefits at the individual, community, and cultural levels.
