This project introduces a flood warning system primarily aimed at safeguarding tunnel users from potential flood risks.

The Department of Highways’ Bureau of Bridge Construction is overseeing the Thung Song Junction Tunnel within a broader bridge project. Due to the tunnel’s low-lying location, it is particularly susceptible to annual flooding, consequently leading to both traffic disruptions and potential vehicle damage.

Each year, flooding disrupts traffic and risks vehicle damage at the underpass tunnel site. Moreover, there is the issue of missing flood alerts for passersby.

The flood warning and water level system relies on the collaboration of ESP8266 and other electronic devices.

The flood warning and water level system deploys ESP8266 and other electronic devices to work together.

This system features a Blynk monitoring screen that collects sensor data and provides real-time display.

We assembled the hardware control cabinet and coded for hardware operation, then installed it at the Thung Song Junction tunnel, situated at the intersection of Highway 41 (Phet Kasem) and Highway 403 (Thung Song Junction).

We extend our appreciation to the Bridge Building Center of Nakhon Si Thammarat Highway 2 (Thung Song) for their valuable data and support in developing the system.
