Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, in collaboration with the Office of the National Research and Development Policy (NRDP) under the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation (HERI), is implementing a research plan called ‘Enhancing Competitiveness and Building the Grassroots Economy of the Southern Gulf of Thailand through Technology and Innovation’ within the Southern Cluster of Provinces.

This research project aims to enhance the local marketability of entrepreneurs’ products in the region by creating a platform for online sales, called ‘Junghuu.com.’ The platform showcases a diverse range of products from the Southern region, including food, consumer goods, clothing, medical supplies, and seasonal fruits. It features popular and quality products from various areas, such as Kui Buri pork, Wang Wiset durian, and Khao Hua Krabi eggs. Every transaction directly supports local entrepreneurs and product owners, truly distributing income to the grassroots economy.

The project is expected to increase sales for local enterprises, SMEs, and general entrepreneurs by more than 10%, effectively boosting the grassroots economy of the Southern provinces and serving as a learning platform for both experienced and new entrepreneurs to adapt to the digital era and meet the demands of the new generation of consumers who seek quality products with guaranteed quality assurance through a reliable online marketplace.
