Assistant Professor Chookiat Choosakul and his team received the Silver Medal award from the 8th International Invention Innovation Competition in Canada, iCAN 2023, via online format. The team also received a special award, the International Special Award, from the World Invention Intellectual Property Associations (WIIPA). This innovation in designing low-carbon construction materials is considered a promising way to reduce the environmental impact of construction. We aim to achieve net zero by minimizing carbon emissions throughout the building’s life cycle. Additionally, we collaborated with the operator of Bangkok Block Shop in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province to produce it for commercial distribution.
