Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS) reinforces its commitment to sustainable poverty reduction through active policy collaboration and multi-sector partnerships.
The MOU signing ceremony on 30 July 2024, between the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Prince of Songkla University Science Park, and the Ban Han Elderly Organic Agriculture Community Enterprise, marked a significant step in aligning research and community innovation with local and regional development policies.

This partnership focuses on promoting green technology transfer, supporting community enterprises, and encouraging lifelong learning among elderly groups—key elements of SDG 1.4.1–1.4.4.
Through shared governance with local authorities and the Ministry of Higher Education’s regional science park, the project contributes to policy integration that enhances sustainable entrepreneurship and energy efficiency in rural communities.

RUTS also advocates educational inclusion and support mechanisms for low-income students (SDG 1.3.1–1.3.5), ensuring that institutional policies promote equitable access, graduation opportunities, and participation in community-based research.

By linking academic innovation with policy implementation, RUTS demonstrates stewardship that extends beyond campus boundaries—bridging universities, government, and society to build a resilient, poverty-free future for southern Thailand.
