The RUTS received a prestigious national award for Outstanding University Innovation and Technology Development 2023, presented by the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. This recognition highlights the university’s commitment to advancing technology, promoting local entrepreneurship, and supporting sustainable development through academic expertise and innovation.
The first award-winning project, “Enhancing the Competitiveness of High-Quality Palian Pepper Entrepreneurs in Trang Province,” focuses on strengthening the capacity of local pepper producers by applying technology, innovation, and academic services to create value-added products and improve competitiveness in the market. This project exemplifies the university’s strategic role in supporting regional economic development and empowering community enterprises.
The second recognized project, “Development of Intellectual Property Management Systems at RUTS to Benefit Innovative Entrepreneurs,” emphasizes the importance of systematic technology transfer and intellectual property management. It enhances collaboration between the university and private sector entrepreneurs, enabling research outputs and innovations to be utilized effectively in real-world business applications. These achievements reflect the university’s leadership in fostering sustainable local food systems, innovation-driven entrepreneurship, and the integration of academic knowledge with community development.
