Details:
Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya has established RUTS Walking Street as an important on-campus food market that plays a key role in supporting both food security and economic opportunities for its university community. The market provides students and staff with a convenient and affordable source of food, ensuring that nutritious meals are easily accessible within the campus. This directly contributes to reducing the risk of food insecurity among students by guaranteeing a stable and reliable food supply.
In addition to serving as a food source, RUTS Walking Street also creates opportunities for students and staff to earn extra income by selling food and beverages. This not only supports their personal financial well-being but also encourages entrepreneurial skills and self-reliance. The initiative helps strengthen engagement within the university community, creating a shared space that promotes interaction, collaboration, and mutual support. Furthermore, the project aligns with the university’s commitment to sustainability by fostering a sustainable food ecosystem on campus.
