Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya places great importance on reducing inequality and fostering equal educational opportunities. With funding support from the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, the university provides educational grants to students with disabilities pursuing associate or bachelor’s degrees for the 2025 academic year—covering the first, second, and third (summer) semesters.

For this initiative, the university has been granted a total budget of 231,875 baht (two hundred thirty-one thousand eight hundred seventy-five baht) to serve as educational subsidies for students with disabilities. The Student Development Division—specifically the Educational and Career Guidance Unit—is responsible for coordinating with relevant departments and collecting documentation related to the disbursement of these subsidies, ensuring that the process adheres to established procedures.

Such support helps alleviate the burden of educational expenses and ensures that students with disabilities have equitable access to education, with due consideration for the diverse needs of individual learners. Furthermore, it reflects the university’s commitment to fostering equality and enabling students to pursue their studies and continuously develop their full potential.

This initiative aligns Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 10: Reduced Inequalities, specifically by promoting the inclusion of and equal access to opportunities for persons with disabilities. Providing educational subsidies serves as a vital mechanism for lowering barriers to education, helping to build a society that offers everyone the chance for equitable development—ensuring that no one is left behind.
