Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, in its capacity as an institution of higher learning, is deeply committed to advancing the educational pursuits of students who find themselves constrained by financial hardships or limited income. The university has, therefore, formulated a comprehensive policy that is explicitly oriented toward the amelioration of student attrition rates and the enhancement of retention rates, all in an effort to prevent students from prematurely disengaging from their academic journeys within the institution. To this end, the university has implemented a scholarship program designed to alleviate the financial obstacles that students may encounter, thereby ensuring that those confronting economic challenges can complete their academic aspirations. In this manner, the university seeks to cultivate a climate of equitable access to education.
The scholarships extended by the university are categorized into the following domains:
External Scholarships: These scholarships originate from sources external to the university, often stemming from governmental bodies, private entities, or philanthropic foundations.
University-Sponsored Scholarships: The university allocates its own financial resources to administer scholarships, thus bolstering the financial capacities of students to defray their educational expenses.
Donor-Backed Scholarships: Contributions in the form of donations are harnessed to establish scholarships, thereby affording donors the opportunity to play an instrumental role in fostering educational opportunities.
Alumni-Endowed Scholarships: Alumni, who are esteemed former graduates of the university, express their commitment by establishing scholarships that contribute significantly to the academic advancement of the university community.
