Access to Free Drinking Water Across University Campuses
Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya (RUTS) provides free drinking water for students, staff, and visitors as part of its regular campus services. Drinking water stations are installed in buildings across the university, allowing people to access drinking water conveniently throughout the day without having to pay. In 2025, the university continued to maintain these facilities across its campuses. Drinking water stations were provided in academic buildings, administrative offices, and shared facilities to meet the daily needs of the university community. Their locations allow students, staff, and visitors to access drinking water while studying, working, or using university services.

Maintenance and Cleaning of Drinking Water Facilities
In addition to providing free drinking water, RUTS carries out regular maintenance to keep its drinking water stations clean and in good working condition. Maintenance includes replacing water filter cartridges at scheduled intervals, cleaning drinking water dispensers, and checking the condition of the equipment. These activities are undertaken as part of the university’s routine facility maintenance to help maintain drinking water quality and reduce the risk of contamination. Where equipment requires repair or replacement, the responsible personnel arrange the necessary maintenance to keep the facilities functioning properly. These practices help the university maintain a reliable drinking water service for everyday use and provide students, staff, and visitors with access to clean drinking water.

Ongoing Provision of Free Drinking Water
The provision of free drinking water is an established part of campus facility management at RUTS. Rather than being a one-time activity, it is a service that the university maintains for the benefit of those who study, work, and visit its campuses. Throughout 2025, RUTS continued to provide drinking water facilities without charge and maintained the equipment through regular cleaning, inspection, and filter replacement. By making drinking water freely available in university buildings, RUTS helps meet an essential daily need of its campus community. This ongoing service also forms part of the university’s wider efforts to maintain healthy campus environments and contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation.
